Project Manager Position

 

ACGI Software is a dynamic, agile and fast-growing technology business based in Columbia, MD, offering competitive salary and benefits and a great work environment.  We seek energetic and self-motivated project managers to oversee the implementation of our flagship Association Anywhere® software suite that helps associations, societies and other member-based organizations run their day to day operations with over 40 integrated software modules.

 

Responsibilities of the Project Manager Include:

  • Collecting and Documenting Business Requirements

  • Identifying and Mitigating Project Risks

  • Developing and Managing Project Schedules

  • Ensuring that Resources Understand Deliverables, Tasks, Timeframes, Goals
  • Coordinating and Monitoring the Activities of Analysts, Engineers, Trainers and Other Resources

  • Overseeing Project Deliverables and Quality

  • Managing Budgets

  • Preparing Customer Invoices

  • Managing Change Control Processes

  • Providing Status Reports to Clients and to Management

  • Managing the Client Relationship throughout the Software Implementation Life Cycle

  • Cultivating Additional Business Opportunities with Clients

  • Managing Multiple Complex Projects Simultaneously

  • Other Miscellaneous Responsibilities include Preparing Meeting Agendas,

  • Recording Meeting Minutes, Tracking and Resolving Issues and Action Items

 

Required Skills Include:

 

  • A thorough understanding of project management concepts and discipline

  • Minimum 3 Years of Experience in Managing Complex Software Projects with a verifiable track record of successful completion

  • An understanding of change control and quality assurance methodologies

  • An understanding of finance and accounting concepts and practices

  • The Ability to understand, analyze and express concepts orally and in writing

  • Organizational Skills and Attention to Detail

 

Prior experience with software development, web technologies, Oracle, complex systems integration, PMP certification, SDLC and subject matter expertise in association management are all pluses.
